Who hasn’t heard of Angry Birds? One of the most popular and fun apps that has existed for years and incredibly popular. The aim of the game is simple; the green pigs have stolen the birds eggs, and the birds have got to penetrate their base and get them back. You are given a set of birds and you have to knock over as many green pigs as possible in as few tries as possible. The birds you are given do different things, some fly directly, some fly with speed and some will just explode. The pigs however are standing still. They are guarding their base and not letting anyone pass.
Although it is arguably a game for children and very easy to play, to navigate your way through the levels is actually quite complex and each level gets progressively harder each time. It can teach you well about the basic principles of physics and knowing how much force is used to knock over certain things. Through the years of updates, Angry Birds reflects this well.
A number of people have complained about advertising and when we tested the app, there were a high level of ads that popped up in game. This can be extremely frustrating and tedious as you have to wait or navigate past them. The ads are pretty hectic and come up regularly while playing.
- Super fun sounds.
- Fantastic game play that will keep you busy for hours.
- As of last count, over 240 levels to keep you entertained.
- Amazing graphics of the birds, green pigs and levels.
- High levels of obtrusive advertising.
Angry Birds is a family classic. Easy enough for anyone to pick up on and understand. It’s not just a great game, but there is a fantastic story behind it all. The moment you complete level one, it is most likely you will be wanting more and more. As mentioned in the review, the only downside is the high levels of advertising that pops up during the app. This can not only be annoying but frustrating at the same time.
